Our Practice

Dr. Scott Stahl has been practicing exotic animal veterinary medicine in Northern Virginia since 1989. He is certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners as a specialist in avian medicine. In addition to treating many animal family members in the Greater Washington D.C. Metropolitan region, Dr. Stahl and his associates have worked with and consulted for other veterinarians, zoos, and universities across the country and around the world. Dr. Stahl’s colleagues include Dr. David Crum (associate veterinarian), Dr. Gregory Costanzo (associate veterinarian), and Dr. Shoshana Sommer (ABVP avian resident veterinarian).

The veterinarians and technicians of SEAVS are some of the forerunners in the field of exotic animal medicine. Their primary concern is the health and well being of your exotic pets, and so they are continually improving their knowledge, keeping up to date on medical literature, attending (and even lecturing at) veterinary medical conferences, and working as a cohesive team to evaluate and treat patients. Due to the collaborative nature of our practice, when you see one veterinarian at our clinic, you are benefiting from the expertise of all our doctors.
