Dr. Mary Jane Fuchs is the exotic vet at this practice. I have been taking my bearded dragons, geckos, and sugar gliders to her for 5 years. She is very knowledgeable about sugar gliders. They take walk-ins only for routine visits. Appointments are available for surgery, including neuters.

This vet practice is very good and extremely busy. They are on a first-come, first-served basis only, except for scheduled surgeries. The wait can be as much as 2 or 3 hours on a very busy day. Clients have the option of saving some time by choosing a "walk-back" instead of a consult with the vet of their choice. The "walk-back" patiients are taken to the examining room to see Dr. Mary Jane Fuchs by the vet tech while the owner waits in the room. Any and all questions or concerns are relayed by the vet tech. This allows Dr. Mary Jane to see more patients and to charge MUCH more reasonable fees than other vet practices in town. You do always have the option to wait longer to see the vet of your choice, in person.
Dr. Mary Jane is the only vet who sees and treats sugar gliders at this clinic. She has treated and neutered several of my gliders in the 3 years I have been going to her and is the only vet I would recommend for gliders in the Louisville area. She has been my vet for my cats and reptiles for 15 years and I have always been impressed by her knowledge, compassion, professionalism and true love for what she does and for the animals she cares for.

I went to this vet and they did a wellness exam and everything on two of my gliders but I was kinda upset that they took my babies into a different room without me to look at them and left me in the exam room then just brought them back. I can't say how well they handle them and it worries me that they did that like they didn't want me to see.
